Important Information for Recent High School Graduates
 
If your counselor did not make sure you were registered for articulated, dual, or concurrent credit courses at area colleges, be sure to take time in July and early August to make your own arrangements.  Concurrent credit classes are classes that give you college credit for the same class you would normally take as an AP class or a high school elective. They may be available to take as on-line courses, on the college campus, or in some instances at your high school.

New Student Orientation for TSTC Fall 2010!

Is your life under construction? Get your plans at New Student Orientation!
New Student Orientation is an introduction to TSTC's campus and student life.
At orientation you will:

  • Learn about TSTC history and traditions
  • Explore student life and find out ways to get involved
  • Plan a schedule of classes with your advisor
  • Tour your new campus
  • Meet current and new students and ask them questions
  • Purchase textbooks and TSTC gear
  • Discover all that the student services have to offer

Why attend New Student Orientation?
Orientation is a required program for all incoming students that will help you prepare for your transition into college life, as well as the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Also, students who attend orientation are more likely to stay in college and be satisfied with their college experiences, more likely to get better grades and more likely to graduate.

In order to prepare for online registration, a three module online orientation (HOOPs) must be completed by students. Students can come back and go through HOOPS at any time for a refresher!
